From Classroom to Company HQ: How Abin Michael Built His IT Startup in College

A Dream Takes Shape in Cherupuzha
Hailing from Cherupuzha, Abin found his calling at Navajyothi College. Despite financial constraints, his dream of owning a company wasn’t put on hold. Encouraged by classmates, alumni, and faculty, he nurtured the idea from the very start.
Balancing Studies and Work
In 2022, even before completing his BCA final semester, Abin landed a job at Cyberpark Calicut. He would work through the night and return to campus for day classes—later continuing this dual hustle at Technopark Trivandrum. With the income he earned, he was able to lay the foundation for his own enterprise.
A Classroom Becomes a Corporate Workspace
With the college's help, Abin was granted basic infrastructure support to launch his company right where he once studied. On January 23, he officially inaugurated the office of Toscroll Technologies, where he now works alongside a small team of three.
Reflecting on the startup challenge, Abin remarked: “If there are challenges, then only you can run a successful business.”
Empowering Students with Practical Training
Toscroll isn’t just a business—it’s a learning hub. The company now offers 3–6 month internship programs, both online and offline, covering:
- Web development
- Mobile app development
- AI & Machine Learning basics
- Cloud technologies
Successful interns receive certification, equipping them for immediate employment.
Vision for the Future
This is only the beginning. Abin envisions turning his startup incubator into a full-fledged IT park, expanding opportunities for students and the community in the long term.
